Ce fut l’un des grands moments de la cérémonie d’investiture du 46e président des Etats-Unis Joe Biden: un hymne américain à donner des frissons, chanté avec force et conviction par Lady Gaga. L’artiste que Joe Biden appelle sa « grande amie », s’était déjà produite lors de son dernier grand meeting. Lorsqu’il était vice-président de Barack Obama, ils avaient travaillé ensemble sur une campagne de lutte contre le harcèlement sexuel. Lady Gaga avait déjà interprété The Star-Spangled Banner lors du Super Bowl 2016.
